Kevin Kim-Nybakke has held a variety of roles in the engineering industry since 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Student Worker for Facilities & Maintenance, where they coordinated publicity events for 400+ students and 8 local businesses, supervised and directed furniture reallocation during building demolition, and provided general office support. In 2012, they served as a Machine Shop Proctor for the Engineering Department at Harvey Mudd College and as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Honeywell Aerospace, where they worked on a variety of projects to gain exposure to different aspects of electro-mechanical actuator design. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Patent Engineer at Fenwick & West and a Mechanical Engineer II at Alta Motors (formerly BRD Motorcycles), where they designed HV systems including inverter, charger, DC converter, BMS, and motor, and conducted FEA and CFD simulations. From 2018 to 2020, they were a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer at Harley-Davidson Motor Company and an EV Mechanical Engineering Consultant. Currently, they are a Sr. Mechanical Engineer at Pico MES.
Kevin Kim-Nybakke graduated from Harvey Mudd College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
