Jade Borella has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.
Jade started their career in 2002 at Athletics Victoria, where they held multiple positions, including Commercial Operations Manager, Marketing Project Manager, and Events Manager. Their responsibilities involved strategic marketing, organizing large-scale events, securing sponsorships, and managing development projects.
In 2012, Jade co-founded and served as the General Manager of The Booth Butler, a premium photo and video booth hire company. Jade successfully grew the business through effective market positioning and online marketing strategies, ultimately selling the company in 2015.
As a self-employed Business Development Consultant from 2015 to 2017, Jade provided strategic planning, marketing, and digital expertise to various clients.
In 2016, they worked as a Community Engagement Specialist for Bendigo Bank, where they developed and implemented an innovative community brand project to enhance engagement with the local community and businesses.
Jade joined KPMG Australia in 2018 as the Head of Business Innovation. In this role, they focused on driving a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship by designing and delivering programs such as hackathons, innovation awards, and design thinking workshops.
Currently, Jade is employed at KPMG International as a SR&I Portfolio & Investment Steering professional, a role they started in 2021.
In addition to their professional experience, Jade has demonstrated their entrepreneurial and leadership skills throughout their career, successfully executing an exit plan and selling their startup business, The Booth Butler.
Jade Borella's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from San Diego State University, which was obtained from 2013 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Commerce from Deakin University, from 1997 to 2000. Their earlier education includes a Victorian Certificate of Education from Ruyton Girls' School, completed from 1991 to 1996.
In addition to their formal education, Jade Borella has obtained several certifications. These include "Learning Asana" from LinkedIn in February 2021, "Shopify Essential Training" from LinkedIn in October 2020, and "Effective Problem Solving for Teams" from MIT Professional Education in November 2018. Jade also obtained various design thinking certifications from LinkedIn and IDEO in 2018, as well as a PRINCE2 Practitioner certification from PeopleCert in March 2018. Other certifications include "Mental Health First Aid" from Mental Health First Aid Australia in April 2017 and a "Working with Children Check" from the Department of Justice and Regulation, Victoria, Australia in December 2017.
