Jacob DeForest is a highly experienced scientist in the field of medicinal and process chemistry, currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Pfizer since August 2017, previously holding positions as Senior Scientist in both Medicinal and Process Chemistry. Jacob obtained a Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from UC Irvine, focusing on natural product total synthesis and reaction methodology, and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Pepperdine University.
