Job Summary
We are a 30+ year old Termite, Pest and Wildlife control company headquartered in Walkertown, NC that is growing and seeking to add to our outstanding team of professionals.
Currently we are seeking an experienced termite department crew leader to work performing termite treatments, encapsulation services, drainage solutions and other related work.
Responsibilities and Duties
Job Title:Â Crew Leader - Termite Department
Supervision Received:Â Reports and works under the general supervision of the Termite Supervisor and Branch Manger.
Supervision Exercised : Performs and coordinates the activities and training of a crew on site.
Essential Functions/Duties & Responsibilities:
Coordinates, organizes and directs the activities of technicians at job sites in accordance and adherence of all company, state and label guidelines and protocols.
Provides continued training and technical assistance on job sites.
Responsible for ensuring service truck is fully equipped and supplied for each job site before leaving office. Keeps vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Communicate to direct report/s any and all crew deficiencies, training needs, and job performances to superiors.
Responsible for workflow, record keeping, tools and vehicle maintenance.
Responsible for verifying all jobs are completed in a timely manner. Ensure that each completed job site is left in a clean manner. All work completed according to work order instructions and company protocols. Responsible for all tools, materials and equipment on the truck.
Performs all the job tasks required to complete the work.
Responsible for driving company work vehicles at all times and maintaining an "A" safety score as defined by company.
Follow all company, label and state safety standards and ensure that all employees under your direction comply.
Collaborate with office scheduler and supervisor by updating your progress with each job and informing of any delays or open time for fill in work as needed.
Ensuring all work breaks as required are taken by crew each day.
Ensures all paperwork and work orders in software are properly and timely updated and completed and accurate.
Communicate to customers before and after the services and ensure their satisfaction of work performed. Generate positive reviews for you and your crew.
Accept and perform other work as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Education and Experience:
Candidates with background in construction, landscaping, restoration work, waterproofing is helpful. This position requires 1+ years experience working in a wood destroying department or equivalent.
Must have at least 6 months of prior termite control supervisory experience or 1+ years of general field related supervisory experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to motivate others to complete work assignments in a timely and professional manner. The ability to provide training and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is required. Must be familiar with cell phones, tablets, apps. and technology in general.
Special Requirements:
Must pass a criminal history background investigation; however a conviction of a crime may not disqualify an individual from this position. Valid North Carolina Drivers License with insurable driving record to regularly (daily with few exceptions) operate a company vehicle for business travel as required. Drug testing is required if hired. During employment crew leader must not have any major violation write-ups or Department of Agriculture issued violations.

Work Environment/Conditions:
In the performance of the job duties, the employee will work in a variety of environments including construction sites and foundation areas in and around a house. This position will primarily work outside in all types of weather conditions and environments such as but not limited to possible tight and low areas under a house in a crawl space, and is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the environment can be loud at times.
Physical Demand (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation)
The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50+ pounds of supplies and frequently work safely with pesticides. Drilling with industrial hammer drills through concrete, power augers, and digging and trenching soil with shovels and/or mattocks is frequent.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, see and smell.

Salary: $37,000.00 - $45,000.00 + per year
