What do we do?
Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel, software-defined radio solutions for applications including surveillance, communications, radar, direction finding, emitter location, and interference cancellation. What will you do?
Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking a Material Handler. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, Florida office with occasional overnight travel to our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:
The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for supporting daily Supply Chain functions at a growing defense contractor. Duties and responsibilities include:
Supports and assists activities within multiple warehouse and inventory control disciplines across the Supply Chain and Production processes.
Primarily responsible for the manual movement, monitoring, and issuing of materials through picking / pulling items to fill pick lists and support Manufacturing Orders released by Production / Material Planners.
Additionally responsible for the storage, distribution, inventory management, and records maintenance of material items
Perform required cycle counts of material and maintains records as required to monitor and support inventory accuracy
Read and follow work orders and verbal instructions to ascertain material items to be moved
Load, unload, and move materials within or near warehouse, stockroom, storage facility, or manufacturing floor
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
Provide materials to and from inventory location or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other tool
Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
Support / complete monthly, quarterly, yearly inventory audits
Able to lift 50 pounds, use rolling ladder going up to 12 feet, and reach for items on shelves
Able to spend considerable time standing, bending, and walking to and from the warehouse and other areas / buildings
Ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Basic Requirements
US citizenship due to contract requirements and nature of the work
Ability to obtain a TOP SECRET security clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract requirements
High school diploma or GED
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing process
Valid Driver’s License required
