Lindsay Howell

Editorial Community Manager at PeerJ

Lindsay Howell has worked in a variety of roles since 1998. Lindsay began their career as an Accounting Assistant at Bidwells in 1998, followed by a Quality Assurance Assistant Administrator at Cambridge Consultants in 2000. In 2005, they moved to the Scott Polar Research Institute as a Museum Assistant. From 2006 to 2019, they worked at the Public Library of Science, first as an Editorial Board Development Manager, then as a PLoS ONE Editorial Manager, and finally as a PLoS ONE Publications Assistant/Manager. In 2018, they became a Teaching Assistant at Bar Hill Primary School, and in 2019 they took on the role of Learning Support Assistant at Pathfinder C of E Primary School. In 2020, they began working as an Editorial Freelancer and an Editorial Community Manager at PeerJ.

Lindsay Howell completed a BSc (Hons) 2:1 in Natural History combined with Marine Biology at Anglia Ruskin University from 2003 to 2006. In 2004, they participated in an exchange program at the University of New Brunswick, where they earned a BSc in Marine Biology. In 2014, they obtained a Full Clean UK Driving License from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). In 2019, they became Fully Adult and Paediatric First Aid Qualified from Pathfinder C of E Primary School.
