Joy Prisco has over 25 years of experience in the field of biochemistry. Joy began their career in 1992 as a Senior Scientist at Roche Molecular Systems. Joy then moved to Eli Lilly in 1997, where they served as an Associate Senior Biochemist. In 2001, they joined Novartis as a Senior Scientist I. In 2016, they took on the role of Scientific Technical Leader at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation. Joy then moved to The BIO5 Institute in 2019, where they were a Principal Research Specialist. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist at PathogenDx.
Joy Prisco obtained a BA in Biology from SUNY New Paltz between 1980 and 1984. Joy then went on to obtain an MA in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental from Hunter College between 1989 and 1991. Lastly, they obtained a CEAS in Science Secondary Education from William Paterson University of New Jersey between 2001 and 2003.
