Gal Lerman's work experience begins in 2011 when they worked as a Java Automation Engineer at GigaSpaces. In 2012, they joined TEOCO as a Back End Engineer and held that role until 2014. From 2014 to 2019, Gal worked at Outbrain in various backend engineering roles. They started as a Backend Engineer in the Recommendations Infra team and then transitioned to work on the Promoted Recommendations System, where they implemented a successful geo-targeting mechanism. In 2016, Gal took on the role of Senior Backend Engineer in the Organic Recommendations System team, responsible for writing and maintaining a highly available recommendation system. Finally, since 2019, Gal has been working at Papaya Gaming, initially as a Backend Engineer and currently as the Backend Team Lead.

Gal Lerman attended Tel Aviv University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. In April 2018, Gal Lerman also obtained a certification in Big Data Analysis with Scala and Spark from Coursera.
