Eric Carlson

VP of International Supply Chain at Palecek

Eric Carlson has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Eric started their career as a Staff Accountant at Allegheny Valley Bank, where they handled GL, asset, liability, and internal accounts. Eric was also responsible for reporting to the Federal Reserve and FDIC and served as a System Administrator for the Federal Reserve's online link, FedLine.

Moving forward, Eric worked as a Teacher at Kai En English Language Training Center before transitioning into the field of design. Eric joined Shanghai RighTime Building Solutions as a Design Director, where they designed cabinet lines and custom kitchens for the US market. Eric also managed a team of draftsmen and graphic designers and implemented quality control standards and procedures in five factories.

Next, Eric took on the role of Program Manager at Shanghai RighTime Building Solutions and St. Martin Cabinetry, where they led the custom projects division of the Foreign Trade Department. Eric was responsible for program development and the launch of St. Martin Cabinetry in the US. Additionally, they played a key role in process improvement teams for furniture factories and led exhibition teams. Eric even relocated to the US to launch an assembly plant.

Following this, Eric joined Pottery Barn - Williams-Sonoma, Inc. as an Associate Sourcing Manager, responsible for furniture, accessories, and lighting sourcing for Williams-Sonoma Home. Eric developed sourcing strategies in various countries and analyzed shipping, damage, quality, and claim resolution.

In their most recent role, Eric served as the Director of Quality Assurance at Palecek, where they designed and implemented a metric-driven quality improvement program. Eric interpreted inputs from overseas factories, in-house production, warehouse, and customer experience to adjust standard operating procedures accordingly. Eric then moved on to become the Director of Asia Operations before eventually assuming the position of VP of International Supply Chain.

Eric Carlson attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2001 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Art degree with a specialization in Furniture Design.
