Celina Laurette has been working in the field of design and instructional design since 2009. Celina began their career as an Instructor at Kumon North America, Inc., where they facilitated Jr. Kumon math and reading, performed assessments and wrote student progress reports, and planned student lessons based on individual needs. In 2012, they began working as a Research Assistant at CAP Consulting, where they assessed and quantified qualitative research, transcribed audio recordings of interviews, and designed a research findings booklet. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as an Instructional Designer at Toshiba Tec Canada Business Solutions Inc., where they developed and designed instructional content for consumers and training modules for internal team members. From 2015 to 2016, Celina worked as a Graphic Designer at both Solar Brokers Canada and CURES Studio, where they edited and developed marketing collateral, participated in marketing strategy meetings and brainstorming sessions, and developed social media content and account management. In 2016, they began working as a Product Designer at Teach Away, where they developed and designed custom digital learning solutions for Learnkit. From 2019 to 2021, Celina worked as a Senior Product Designer and Product Designer at StackAdapt, where they worked on the state-of-the-art programmatic advertising platform. Currently, Celina is a Senior Product Designer at #paid.
Celina Laurette received their Bachelor of Design in Graphic Design from OCAD University in 2016. In 2019, they attended Lighthouse Labs for an Intro to Front-End with JavaScript. Additionally, Celina has obtained numerous certifications, such as an Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing from LinkedIn in 2021, a StackAdapt Academy: Advanced Programmatic Course from StackAdapt in 2021, a StackAdapt Platform Certification Course from StackAdapt in 2020, an Introduction to Programmatic Advertising - Digital Marketing from Udemy in 2019, a StackAdapt Platform Certification Course from StackAdapt in 2019, an Accessible Graphic Design Webinar by Accessibility Ontario in 2019, a Website Accessibility: WCAG 2.1 from Accessibility Ontario in 2018, a Principles of Designing for Humans from the University of Michigan in 2018, an Introduction to User Experience from the University of Michigan in 2017, and a Launch and Connect Badge from Twitter in 2021.
