Carmichael Roberts is a distinguished entrepreneur and executive with extensive experience in transforming materials into impactful companies. As the Founder and Managing Partner of Material Impact since November 2016, Carmichael Roberts also serves as a member of Breakthrough Energy Ventures and holds directorship positions in several influential companies, including Zero Mass Water and Soft Robotics Inc. Notably, Carmichael is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board at MC10 Inc., 1366 Technologies, Inc., and Diagnostics For All. Previous roles include co-founding Arsenal Medical and serving as Lead Director at Foro Energy. Carmichael Roberts holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a PhD in Chemistry from Duke University.
