Tim Ott has extensive experience in outdoor education and language instruction. Since May 2009, Tim has served as an Instructor at Outward Bound New Zealand, leading wilderness expeditions and teaching essential skills such as communication, leadership, and environmental knowledge. Concurrently, Tim has worked as an Instructor and logistician at Northwest Outward Bound School, focusing on youth courses in whitewater rafting and mountaineering while promoting values like self-discovery and teamwork. Additionally, Tim taught first-year Russian at the University of Washington from September 2011 to June 2012. Tim holds a Master’s degree in Slavic Languages and Literature from the University of Washington and a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Language and Russian Area Studies from St. Olaf College.
