About the role
In light of the new strategic focus on the Middle East region, Outlier Ventures will be launching a new in-person accelerator in Riyadh and we are looking for an experienced Accelerator Lead who can set up the program foundations, scout for the right founders, run a successful program while contributing to the growth of the local web3 ecosystem.Â
This is a very exciting role that requires a mix of entrepreneurial mindset, operational & project management skills, investment acumen and passion for supporting founders’ growth.
While the role is based in Riyadh, the Accelerator Lead will work very closely with the rest of the global accelerator team and with all the Outlier Ventures web3 experts.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and execute the accelerator program full life-cycle (planning, promotion, cohort sourcing and selection, program running and post-program support)
Engage with existing and potential partner for the program in Riyadh and build relationships on mutual trust and respect
Be a proactive part of a continual feedback loop improving the accelerator program
Work with our portfolio companies and support them during their growth journey
Act as the central hub of product / business knowledge for this program
Act as a focal point to bring the OV network and internal experts to the cohort
Report project performance based on business objectives and agreed key performance indicators
Manage two Program Associates who will support you in the running of the operations and in nurturing the cohort companies.
We are looking for someone who:
Has laser-like focus on detail and execution
An appreciation of and experience with the commercial aspects of venture investing
Will be highly engaged in the local startup ecosystem
Be able to build rapport and establish strong working relationships with local government agencies
Be primarily interested in working on venture development / post investment value creation
Understand the fundamentals of decentralised technology and web3, and an strong interest in growing your expertise on the subject
Have previous experience with other investors / VCs or startup accelerators
Have the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
Have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders (i.e. founders, mentors, partners and clients), prioritising requirements to ensure the best outcome for both the partner and Outlier Ventures
Fluent in Arabic to communicate with local partners
