Mzwanele Ngubo is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Ottawa Hospital Research Institute since November 2019, under the supervision of William L. Stanford, focusing on epigenetic reprogramming in acute myeloid leukemia, DNA repair regulation in Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria syndrome, and chromatin organization in the same syndrome. Previously, Mzwanele Ngubo was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center from March 2016 to June 2018, where projects included studying the Arp8 module in INO80 remodeling and its DNA sequence specificity, supervised by Blaine Bartholomew. Mzwanele Ngubo holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Biochemistry from the University of the Free State, obtained in July 2015.
