Harneet Cheema is an accomplished undergraduate researcher with extensive experience in health science and medical research. Currently engaged at Harvard Medical School, Harneet conducts studies on gender and racial disparities in academic disciplines and collaborates on medical image computing projects. Serving as Vice-President of Philanthropic Affairs for the Health Science Student Association at the University of Ottawa, Harneet organizes charitable events and represents student interests. With a solid background in research, including investigations on mental health impacts during the COVID-19 pandemic and healthcare inequities among populations in Canada, Harneet has received multiple research scholarships and presented original proposals at conferences. Additionally, Harneet has hands-on experience as a unit support worker in a dementia care setting and served as a research assistant in various esteemed organizations. Harneet holds a Bachelor's degree in Honours Health Science from the University of Ottawa, supplemented by a summer research internship at Harvard University.
