Brandon Kemps, SHRM-CP, has a strong background in HR and talent acquisition. Brandon began their career as a Sourcing Specialist and Technical Recruiter at Apex Systems, where they developed recruiting strategies and evaluated candidates for client firms. Brandon then worked as a Contract Technical Recruiter at Graham Personnel Services, focusing on recruiting for technical roles outside of North Carolina. Kemps later joined Anomaly Squared as a Contract Recruiting Manager, where they created recruiting plans and processes to expand the company's call center.
Kemps then moved on to The Fresh Market, serving as a Talent Acquisition Corporate Recruiter, Sr. Talent Acquisition Recruiter & Social Media Coordinator, and eventually as a Talent Acquisition Manager. In these roles, they oversaw recruitment efforts, developed social media strategies, and managed employee referral programs.
Following their time at The Fresh Market, Kemps founded ALT HR Partners, a business centered around providing HR and recruiting solutions to small and medium-sized businesses. In this role, they partnered with local business owners, developed a social media presence, and facilitated educational seminars.
Most recently, Kemps worked at OT Growth Partners as the Senior Vice President of People and Culture, where they built and implemented the HR and Talent Acquisition department for the business. Brandon also helped grow employee headcount through effective recruiting systems and employee retention programs. Overall, Kemps has a diverse range of experience in HR and talent acquisition, consistently demonstrating their ability to develop effective strategies and systems.
Brandon Kemps, SHRM-CP holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from Randolph-Macon College, obtained in 2012. Brandon also has additional certifications such as a Team Leader Certification from CAI- Capital Associated Industries obtained in 2016 and a Social Media Strategist certification from Social Media Academy Global obtained in 2015. In 2023, they are expected to acquire the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification from SHRM.
