Guri Bugge is a seasoned climate and environmental specialist currently serving as Climate Coordinator at Østfold fylkeskommune since December 2023, focusing on climate, energy, and environmental policy development. Concurrently, Guri holds the position of Organization Secretary at KVANN - Norwegian seedsavers, providing support to volunteers in preserving heirloom plants and testing new species. Prior experience includes serving as Climate Coordinator at Viken fylkeskommune, where Guri executed plans related to renewable energy and international cooperation, and as Climate and Energy Advisor at Østfold fylkeskommune. Guri's career began in educational roles as a Lektor at Bergmo Ungdomsskole and Romsdal Videregaende. Guri holds a Cand. Scient. degree in Paleobotany from the University of Oslo, complemented by various academic experiences across multiple universities, including the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and the University of Bergen.
