Dr. David Kramer specializes in the surgical treatment of spinal disorders including revision spinal surgery, correction of adolescent and adult spinal deformity, and minimally invasive management of spinal stenosis, disc herniations, spondylolisthesis, spinal trauma and tumors. Despite being recognized for his successful surgical outcome, he has built his reputation on his conservative approach.
Dr. Kramer earned his medical degree with honors at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH. He subsequently completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. He then served as Chief of the Orthopedic Trauma Service at Harvard’s Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, MA. Dr. Kramer was then selected for the prestigious European Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at the ME Muller Foundation in Berne, Switzerland. After returning to the U.S., Dr. Kramer completed the combined orthopaedic/neurosurgery fellowship in spine surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
Dr. Kramer is presently the Ervie and Carolyn Hawley Endowed Chair in Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Danbury Hospital and Nuvance Health Network, as well as Chief of the Section of Spine Surgery at Danbury Hospital.
