Seth Kerney has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the education sector. Seth began their career in 1999 at Howard W. Sams as a Technical Editor before moving on to John Wiley and Sons in 2000, where they worked as a Proof Editor. In 2001, Kerney joined Pearson Education as a Project Editor and remained in this role until 2016. Seth then transitioned to Orbis Education, where they held various positions. From 2016 to 2022, they served as an E-Learning Program Administrator III before taking on the role of an Educational Technology Deployment Administrator in July 2022.

Seth Kerney earned a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Japanese from Ball State University, which took place from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained another Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature/Letters during the same time period at Ball State University.
