Bart van de Ven has a long and varied career in the energy and ICT industries. Bart began their career in 1982 with Shell International, holding a variety of commercial and general management positions. In 1995, they became CEO of Gulf Oil International in Saudi Arabia, and in 1997 they were appointed CEO of SHV in India. In 2000, they moved to Ordina NV as Director of Energy and ICT Offshore. In 2005, they joined Shell Global Solutions as Head of Business Development, where they solved complex business and technology challenges for government and industry in the Indian, Sri Lanka and Vietnamese energy markets. From 2017 to 2018, they were an Advisor at Seawind Ocean Technology and a Director at Bombora Wave Power. In 2018, they became a Director at OPTIMITIVE Group and Principal Owner at Bay Venture bv. Most recently, in 2020, they were appointed a Strategy & Business Development Advisor at YouBotics.
Bart van de Ven has an education history spanning from 1970 to 2011. Bart attended Bernrode from 1970 to 1976, where they obtained a Gymnasium B degree. From 1976 to 1982, they attended the University of Technology Eindhoven Netherlands, where they obtained an ir degree in Energy & Marketing. In 1998, they attended the London Business School and obtained a SEP degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2011, they attended INSEAD and obtained an M&A degree in Mergers And Acquisitions.
