Melanie MacDonald is a Senior Software Engineer at Optera since March 2022, where responsibilities include architecting a supplier data-collection tool and developing frontend applications using Next.js, React, and Typescript for global users. Prior experience includes founding Software Engineer at Terrayn, where contributions spanned from conducting market research to leading product development with a tech stack of React and Postgres. Melanie also served as a Software Engineer at Conseqta Technology, enhancing application frameworks and mentoring development teams, and held various roles at Synergy360, Flatiron School, Terrapin Adventures, T.A.G. Labs, and as a Freelance Web Developer. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from St. Mary's College of Maryland.
