Ariel Herman, ARM, has extensive work experience in the compliance and legal fields. They started their career as a Legal Assistant at The Hartford, where they managed calendars, designed a document association process, and completed special projects. They then became a Workers' Compensation Paralegal, supporting attorneys with drafting pleadings, developing training materials, and processing medical records requests. After that, they worked as a Tort Litigation Paralegal, supporting attorneys in case management, reviewing discovery materials, and managing deadlines.
In 2016, Ariel joined Everest Reinsurance Company as a Corporate Paralegal, responsible for board meeting preparation, regulatory compliance filings, and submission of bankruptcy-related filings. They later became an Associate Manager in Corporate Compliance, where they gained experience in compliance management.
From 2018 to 2021, Ariel worked at Chubb as a Personal Lines and Consumer Lines Compliance Manager. In this role, they collaborated with different areas of North America Compliance to address and mitigate compliance risks, supporting the Personal Lines and eConsumer business units on regulatory and compliance matters.
Currently, Ariel is employed as a Senior Compliance Manager at Openly, where they continue to contribute their expertise in compliance management.
Ariel Herman, ARM has a strong education background in the field of law and risk management. In 2013, they began studying at The George Washington University and successfully completed a Master's Degree in Paralegal Studies in 2015. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2012, they attended Binghamton University where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Law and History. In addition to their formal education, Ariel has also obtained an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification from The Institutes in May 2019.
