Jerry Tworek has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade and includes roles in various industries such as finance, technology, and media. Jerry started their career as a software engineering intern at Google and later worked on creating a system for gathering and analyzing latency data. Jerry then conducted original research on collaborative filtering algorithms for Google social products. In 2012, they worked as an equity derivatives structuring intern at JP Morgan Chase where they developed a platform for calculating and reporting algorithmic tradable indices. In 2013, they worked as a quantitative analyst at Decura and as a realtime graphics engineer at Platige Image. Jerry then moved on to become a senior quantitative researcher at Independent View, where they were responsible for developing new quantitative investment strategies and risk management. In 2019, they became a research scientist in neural program synthesis at OpenAI where they worked on neural computer program synthesis research, reasoning with big language models, and reinforcement learning.
Jerry Tworek attended the University of Warsaw, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics between 2008-2012. Later on, they pursued further education at the same institution from 2012-2013 and obtained a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics.
