Derrick Moreno

Senior Manager Network Operations Center at O'Neil Digital Solutions

Derrick Moreno has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Derrick has held various managerial positions, starting with their role as a Sales representative at Verizon Directories from 1997 to 2000. Derrick then transitioned to WellPoint in 2001, where they served as an IT Technical Expert and Infrastructure Relationship Coordinator. During their time at WellPoint, Derrick implemented a Virtual Private Network system, redesigned the WAN infrastructure, and introduced wireless LAN technology.

In 2005, Derrick joined IBM as a Software Asset Management expert, overseeing software asset management for IBM-managed mainframes. Derrick also led high-efficiency teams and managed NOC technicians during their tenure with the company.

Following their role at IBM, Derrick worked at AllConnected as the Director of Client Services and later as a NOC Manager/Project Manager. Derrick was responsible for managing the NOC staff, implementing process improvements, and acting as a consultant for managed service clients.

Derrick then joined Verizon Digital Media Services in 2012 as a Network Operations Center Manager and later became a NOC Supervisor. Derrick provided leadership for the Network Operations Team and ensured network reliability and performance.

In 2019, Derrick joined Cornerstone OnDemand as a System Operations Manager and was responsible for managing system operations. Derrick continued in the same role until 2021.

From 2021 to 2022, Derrick worked as the Director of Global Support at Proximie, where they provided support and oversaw global operations.

Currently, Derrick is working at O'Neil Digital Solutions as the Network Operations Center Manager. In this role, they provide IT/Helpdesk support for the network operations center and manages a team of employees across multiple offices. Derrick is accountable for meeting SLAs and KPIs.

Throughout their career, Derrick has demonstrated strong leadership, project management skills, and expertise in IT and network operations.

Derrick Moreno obtained a degree in Journalism and Business from Santa Barbara City College from 1991 to 1995. Prior to that, they pursued Journalism at the same college from 1990 to 1993. Before entering college, Derrick attended Indio High School from 1983 to 1985, but no specific degree or field of study is indicated for that period.
