Alina Orrico is an experienced professional in international development and cooperation, currently serving as a Team Europe and Global Gateway Adviser at European DFIs - EDFI since July 2022. Alina has held various significant roles, including European Union Specialist and Deputy Team Lead for On Think Tanks, and has provided technical assistance to the European Joint Strategy in support of Palestine. Alina's consulting work includes landscape mapping for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and support for SNV's co-Presidency in European Development Cooperation. Previous positions include advisor for the Practitioners' Network with AECID, project officer for the EU's Triangular Cooperation initiative, and political advisor for public figures. Alina has also coordinated UNESCO's Social and Human Science Sector projects in Central America. Alina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Universitat de Barcelona and has completed advanced studies in Regulation and Economics.
