David Parkes has extensive experience in the field of scientific consulting and research. David is the President and Founder of DGP Scientific, Inc. since 2014. In addition, they are currently working as a Pharmacology Consultant at Office Hours and a Guest Lecturer at UC San Diego Extension. Previously, they served as a Senior Scientific Consultant at ProSciento, Inc. and as a Senior Consultant at Gubra. David also worked at BioShore Partners as a Co-Founder, Partner, and Scientific Advisor from 2015 to 2022. Before that, they held senior positions at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, LLC / Astra Zeneca, PLC, including Senior Director & Principal Fellow from 2012 to 2014 and Senior Director, Research from 1997 to 2011. David started their career as a CJ Martin Research Fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in 1990 and later worked as an NHF Research Fellow at the Howard Florey Institute from 1993 to 1996. David Parkes earned a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in Pharmacology from the University of Melbourne.
