David Desaulniers is a seasoned expert in human factors and human performance evaluation within the nuclear safety domain, currently serving as the Senior Technical Advisor at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission since October 2008. With a rich background spanning over three decades, including previous roles as a Senior Human Factors Analyst and Human Factors Analyst at the same commission, David also contributes to the American Nuclear Society as a member of the Large Light-Water Reactor Consensus Committee and plays a key role in the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency's Working Group on Human and Organizational Factors. Additionally, David held a leadership position in the IEEE NPEC SC5, focusing on human factors, control facilities, and reliability. David Desaulniers earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Psychology from Rice University, enhancing expertise in the field.
