Lauren Phipps, CFRE, currently serves as the Director of Development at the Obama Foundation, a position held since October 2023. Prior to this role, Lauren was the Director of Philanthropy at Ochsner Health System from November 2017 to October 2023. Lauren's extensive background in development also includes roles as the Director of Development and Development Officer for the School of Liberal Arts at Tulane University from September 2013 to October 2017, and as a Major Gifts Officer at the New York Civil Liberties Union from September 2010 to September 2013, where responsibilities included managing donor cultivation and stewardship. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate for Major Gifts and Institutional Giving at the Robin Hood Foundation and working as an Assistant Communications Planner at Mediacom. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Strategic Organizational Communication from Temple University, earned in 2006.
