Jessica Ivry is a seasoned music educator and accomplished cellist with extensive experience in both instructional and performance contexts. Currently serving as a Music Instructor at Las Positas College and a Strings Teacher for Oakland Unified School District, Jessica has a robust background that includes directing orchestras and teaching at various educational institutions. As a freelance cellist since 1997, Jessica is recognized for versatility across genres, including classical, pop, jazz, and world music, and has performed for notable theaters such as American Conservatory Theater and Berkeley Repertory Theatre. Jessica's foundational role in the Real Vocal String Quartet highlights a commitment to both performance and administrative excellence, complemented by a strong educational background, including a Master of Art in Teaching with a focus on Music Pedagogy.
