Carol Hammal, MA has a wealth of experience in the field of art psychotherapy. Carol currently serves as the Art Psychotherapist & Head of Creative Arts Therapies Department at O7 Therapy (2021). Prior to this, Hammal was an Advisory Board Member at Safe Egypt (2022) and an Art Psychotherapist at nine psychology (2018).

From 2011 to 2015, Hammal was the Art Psychotherapist at The Behman Hospital, where they ran the art therapy program within the hospital's addiction unit & its halfway house, conducted both art psychotherapy group & individual sessions within various wards at the hospital, and planned for art therapy expansions within the geriatrics unit & women's group targeting gender issues. During this time, they were also a Digital Art Therapy Consultant at Artocene (2015) and an Art Psychotherapist at The Wellness Hub (2016), offering individual and group art therapy sessions in the Heliopolis district of Cairo and educational art therapy workshops to raise awareness about art therapy's clinical applications.

From 2012 to 2015, Hammal was an Art Psychotherapist at Serenity Psychology Center, providing individual and group Art Therapy sessions on an outpatient basis, in addition to Art Therapy workshops, and through it, starting Egypt's first project to integrate Art Therapy in schools & high-educational settings. During this time, they were also an Art Therapist & Counselor at Behavior Analysis & Therapy Partners (BATP), conducting group & individual art therapy sessions to outpatient adults and providing Medical Art Therapy or Digital Art Therapy consultations when needed.

From 2015 to 2016, Hammal was an Art Therapist at the American Red Cross, Eastern Pennsylvania Region, providing art therapy sessions to individuals and families who lost their homes to disasters.

Finally, from 2012 to 2015, Hammal was an Art Psychotherapist & Instructor at Psychealth Services & Training, introducing outpatient art therapy group & individual sessions for adults & children and art therapy workshops for mental health professionals.

Carol Hammal, MA obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine/Studio Arts, General from The American University in Cairo between 2001 and 2007. Carol then went on to obtain a Master's Degree in Art Therapy & Counseling from Drexel University's College of Nursing and Health Professions from 2009 to 2014. In November 2015, they obtained a First Aid CPR & AED certification from The American Red Cross.
