Olivia Wirta is an Assistant Attorney at the New York State Insurance Fund (NYSIF) since August 2024, previously serving as a legal intern in the Office of General Counsel at NYSIF from June 2023 to May 2024. Prior legal experience includes a role as a Legal Intern at Counterpointe Sustainable Real Estate LLC from January 2023 to June 2023 and participation in the Summer Associate Program at Venable LLP, where Olivia gained insights into corporate law, data privacy, private fund formation, and SEC enforcement issues from June 2022 to January 2023. Earlier, Olivia worked as an Accessibility Analyst at Syracuse University from September 2020 to January 2023 and completed an internship in the Office of Public Affairs at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in summer 2020. Olivia holds a Juris Doctor degree from New York Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Energy and Its Impacts from Syracuse University, along with experience at the Syracuse University Florence Center.
