Tim Butler has held various roles in the engineering and technology industry since 1998. Tim began their career as a Scientist at Cambridge Display Technology, followed by a Programmer role at Enecsys from 2007 to 2014. In 2014, they became Director at Precision Atomics, and then a Kaptivo Production Tool Design Consultant at Light Blue Optics from 2016 to 2019. Since 2019, they have held the role of Senior Electronics Engineer at FLUSSO LIMITED, and most recently became Chief Engineer and Principal Engineer at Nyobolt in 2021.

Tim Butler obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Carbon nanotechnology from the University of Cambridge between 2004 and 2014.
