Millie utilized Lean Six Sigma principles to improve the global supply chain process, resulting in a 22% increase in efficiency. During this role, they collaborated with partners from various countries, including Italy, Japan, and Taiwan.
Millie's previous experience includes working as a Chemical/Environmental Engineer at Tucson Electric Power from April 2019 to August 2020. Millie provided technical expertise and strategic oversight for environmental compliance and policy programs. Additionally, they represented power companies in Arizona as a member of the State of Arizona's Affordable Clean Energy Rule Technical Working Group.
Before that, Millie served as an Environmental Engineer at GCC, where they managed the environmental department for the Odessa Cement Plant. Millie identified areas for environmental improvements and implemented necessary changes. Millie also worked as an Air Quality Environmental Permit Analyst at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality from September 2012 to December 2013.
Millie's early work experience includes being a Teaching Assistant for Heat and Mass Transfer at Brigham Young University in 2012, an Engineering Intern at IM Flash Technologies in 2011, and a Research Assistant at BYU Wildfire Research Lab in 2010.
Millie Rapp completed their education at Brigham Young University. Millie first obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering, which they pursued from 2007 to 2012. Millie then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialized focus on Global Supply Chain Management, Sustainability, and Social Impact from 2020 to 2022. Additionally, they obtained the certification of EIT, FE Chemical from the NCEES in April 2012.
