Katharine Self is a seasoned professional in fishery science and wildlife conservation, currently serving as a Fish and Wildlife Program Scientist at the Northwest Power and Conservation Council since April 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Fishery Scientist at the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission from May 2019 to March 2023, and multiple research positions at Oregon State University, where Katharine held roles as both Faculty and Graduate Research Assistant. Additional experience encompasses internships and technician roles with various organizations including the National Science Foundation, U.S. Forest Service, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Nearby Nature. Katharine Self holds a Master of Science in Fisheries from Oregon State University and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, Biology, and Italian from the University of Oregon.
