Douglas Ball is an experienced mining professional with a strong background in project development, mine planning, and engineering within the gold mining sector. Currently serving as Project Development Lead at Northern Star Resources Limited since January 2023, Douglas previously held senior roles including Mine Superintendent and Senior Mining Engineer at the same company, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing technical design, operational execution, and optimization of large-scale underground mining operations. With experience in various capacities across companies such as OceanaGold Corporation and Red 5 Limited, Douglas has demonstrated expertise in mine design, budgeting, and safety systems, alongside a commitment to coaching and developing technical teams. Douglas holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining (Hons.) and is a candidate for a Master of Business Administration from the University of Adelaide.
