Catherine Siano is a seasoned professional in strategy and business development with over 15 years of experience in the mining and financial sectors. Currently serving as Lead Principal in Strategy & Market Intelligence at BHP since October 2020, Catherine has held various leadership roles in business development there. Prior to BHP, Catherine worked at Rio Tinto for a decade, progressing from Research Analyst to Senior Analyst in Business Development. Earlier career experiences include positions at Synovate as an Account Executive and at Workplace Services as a Marketing and Promotions Officer. Catherine holds a Master of Applied Finance with a double major in Corporate Finance and Financial Analysis, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Mining Finance, and a Bachelor of Commerce with a focus on Marketing, Management, and Financial Accounting from The University of Western Australia.
