Raja Mathiazhakan, PhD, is a highly skilled biomanufacturing expert with extensive experience in the biotechnology field, currently serving as Principal Scientist at Northern RNA Inc. since February 2022, following roles as Senior Scientist in both R&D Biologics and Bioprocess Development at the same company. Prior experience includes positions as Lead Research Scientist and Biochemical Process Engineer at Phytonix Corporation, where Raja focused on 1-butanol production processes, and Scientist-II at Mara Renewables Corporation, optimizing bioprocesses for nutritional products. Raja also held roles in research and project management at Lakehead University and CSIR-NIIST, and contributed to enzyme production optimization at the Cashew Export Promotion Council of India. Raja holds a PhD in Biotechnology (Bioprocess technology) from Université du Québec and has robust academic qualifications, including an MSc and BSc in Biotechnology.
