Richard Cumming PhD is a seasoned expert in the life sciences sector with extensive experience in technology commercialization and strategic market planning. Currently serving as an Advisor to Toscana Life Sciences Foundation since September 2016, Richard plays a pivotal role in supporting research and fostering innovative companies in Tuscany. Prior to this, Richard held significant positions at Ithaka Life Sciences, where expertise was provided to a range of organizations in the commercialisation of life science technologies, and at Grant Thornton in interim management roles focused on access to finance. Richard's background includes leadership positions at General Electric Healthcare and Amersham, notably as Global Marketing Director and Global Head of Product Management for proteomics. Richard holds a PhD in Neuroscience from The University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacology from UCL.
