Nicholas Crite has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Nicholas began their career as a Community Mapping Intern at Quad Communities Development Corporation in 2006. Nicholas then served as an Assistant Planner and later as a Land Use Planning Manager at the City of Blue Island from 2006 to 2009. Nicholas then worked as a Construction Manager at Cook County from 2009 to 2012. Nicholas then joined the Chicagoland Green Collar Jobs Steering Committee as a Committee Member from 2011 to 2012. Nicholas later worked at the City of Blue Island as the Planning Director from 2012 to 2013, and in the Building Department from 2013 to 2015. Nicholas also worked as a Supervisor in Field Operations at Nicor Gas from 2015 to 2018, and later as a Supervisor in System Operations from 2018 to 2020. Most recently, Nicholas held the position of Manager of Economic Development at Nicor Gas from 2020 until March 2022, and is currently the Director of Regional Operations at the same company.
Nicholas Crite has a Master's degree in Public Administration with a focus on Local Government Management from the University of Illinois Chicago. Nicholas also has a Master's degree in Urban Planning and Policy with a specialization in Physical Planning from the same university. In addition, Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago. Nicholas has obtained certification as a HOME Certified Specialist in Regulations from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the year 2011.
