Rituraj Goel has over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Rituraj has held various roles and responsibilities in different companies.
Starting from 1985, Rituraj worked at ONGC as a Superintending Engineer, where they handled turnkey EPC oil and gas processing plants and pipelines projects. Rituraj remained at ONGC until 2006, during which they received regular promotions and gained extensive experience in project management.
From 1998 to 2005, Rituraj worked at Petronet LNG Limited as a Superintending Engineer on deputation from ONGC. In this role, they were a senior member of the Project Management Team responsible for achieving the concept to commissioning of the first LNG import terminal in India at Dahej. Rituraj specifically focused on the LNG Jetty, LNG Unloading, and LNG Tank works.
Following their time at Petronet LNG Limited, Rituraj joined Qatar Petroleum in 2006 as a Senior Marine Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for the marine export facilities of the multi-billion dollar Ras Laffan Petroleum Port Expansion Project. Their responsibilities included overseeing the dredging of the basin and approach channel, constructing breakwaters and causeways, and managing various port marine infrastructure projects such as navigation buoys/lights, docking assistance, and mooring monitoring systems.
In 2008, Rituraj joined Essar Oil as a General Manager (Projects), leading the development of a grassroots LNG import terminal for the gas requirements of the Essar group of companies. Rituraj was involved in project development strategy, site selection study, and drafting preliminary cost estimates, project schedule, and manpower requirements.
From 2010 to 2015, Rituraj returned to Qatar Petroleum as a Senior Project Manager, responsible for initiating and implementing projects to enable the production and export of LNG, GTL, and hydrocarbon products at Ras Laffan. Some of the major projects they completed during this time were the construction of two VLCC marine loading facilities and a solid petrochemical export container terminal.
In 2016, Rituraj joined Worley as a PMC Project Manager, where they managed the EPC contract for the Ruwais LNG Project (FSRU) for GASCO - ADNOC Group company. Rituraj also led the PMC team of project management consultants and managed the EPC project for the protection of the reef eco-island for ADNOC.
In 2017, Rituraj worked at Swan Energy Limited India as the Project Head for India's first FSRU based LNG Terminal. Rituraj was responsible for delivering the LNG Port and Terminal to facilitate the import of LNG by off-takers.
In 2017, they joined SIMON INDIA LTD as a Project Director, where they managed project activities and ensured successful project delivery.
From 2018 to 2019, Rituraj worked at Mott MacDonald as a Senior Project Manager - Marine, specializing in marine projects.
Finally, since 2019, Rituraj has been employed at the North Oil Company Qatar as a Project Lead.
Throughout their career, Rituraj Goel has consistently demonstrated their expertise in project management, specifically in the oil and gas sector.
Rituraj Goel attended the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 1980 to 1984, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they obtained certifications such as "Fellow of Indian Association of Structural Engineers" from the Indian Association of Structural Engineers in March 2019 and "Grade 'A' Project Manager" from MMUP, Ministry of Qatar in March 2019.
