Laura Friedrich is a scientific researcher at the Norsk institutt for vannforskning (NIVA) since March 2023. Prior to this role, Laura served as a programme officer and associate programme officer at UNEP-WCMC from May 2017 to February 2023, where contributions were made to projects focusing on ocean-related Sustainable Development Goals, marine spatial planning, and ecosystem service assessment. Laura's research experience includes leading stakeholder engagement in marine management with the VALMER project at the University of Plymouth from March 2013 to 2015 and conducting socio-economic studies for the Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority. Laura holds a PhD in Marine Science, a Master's degree in Marine Policy and Planning, and another Master's degree in Environmental Sciences.
