Sandesh Shelke is a seasoned metallurgist with extensive experience in materials science and engineering. Currently serving as a Plant Metallurgist and Quality Lab Manager at Norsk Hydro since December 2018, Sandesh has effectively investigated customer complaints, leading to savings of over $40K annually in liability costs, while also supporting engineering teams to reduce process scrap by over 10%. Prior roles include Material Science Engineer at Performance Friction, where Sandesh developed new formulations for brake pads, and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington, focusing on metallic nanostructures for biomedical applications.
