Ida Wolden Bache is an experienced economist currently serving as Governor of Norges Bank since March 2013, with previous roles as Deputy Governor, Executive Director of Monetary Policy, and Executive Director of Financial Stability. Prior to this, Ida Wolden Bache held the position of Senior Economist at Handelsbanken Capital Markets from September 2010 to February 2013 and was an Associate Professor II at the Norwegian School of Management from August 2008 to August 2010, specializing in macroeconomics and econometrics. Ida Wolden Bache began at Norges Bank in 1998, where roles included Assistant Director and various positions focused on monetary policy research. Early in the career, Ida Wolden Bache worked as a research assistant at both the University of Oslo and Norges Bank. Educational credentials include a PhD in Economics from the University of Oslo and an MSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
