Tone Mari Rode is a seasoned researcher with extensive expertise in microbiology and food safety, currently employed at Nofima since January 2009. With a PhD in molecular biology and biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Tone has contributed to significant projects such as "FermSafe," focusing on the safety of Norwegian dry fermented sausage in relation to enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli, funded by the Research Council of Norway. Previous roles include a PhD thesis on the stress responses of food-related Staphylococcus aureus, along with summer jobs at the University of Alberta and Imperial College London. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Bioingeniør from Ålesund University College and a Siv.ing in Biotechnology from UiT- The Arctic University of Norway.
