Jonas Alfson

Head Of Production Engineering And Investment at NKT

Jonas Alfson has extensive work experience in the engineering and production management field. Jonas has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

In 1979, Jonas started their career as a Vehicle Mechanic at Fröjds Motor AB, where they worked until 1988. Jonas then worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Lessebo Verkstäder AB from 1988 to 1989.

From 1991 to 1993, they worked as a Mechanical Development Engineer at Dynapac. Jonas then joined ABB High Voltage Cables in 1993, where they initially worked as a Production Engineer until 1994. Jonas was later promoted to the role of Manager Production Engineering/OPEX, which they held from 1995 to 1999.

In 2000, Jonas joined Swedwood as a Production Manager and worked there until 2001. Jonas then returned to ABB High Voltage Cables and assumed the role of Manager Service and Supply Chain Management from 2001 to 2003. Jonas was later promoted to the position of Production Manager, which they held from 2003 to 2008.

In 2008, Jonas joined ABB AB, Global System Group High Voltage Cables as the Global Manager Production Resources and Development from 2008 to 2010. Jonas then worked at ABB Inc, Power Systems, High Voltage Cables as the Director Transfer of Technology and Process from 2011 to 2013. Jonas also served as the Project Director during the same period.

From 2013 to 2017, Jonas worked at ABB AB, Global Product Group High Voltage Cables as the Global Manager Coordination of Local Execution Centers. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Production Engineering and Investment at NKT since 2017.

Jonas Alfson attended Dalarna University from 1989 to 1991, where they studied Production and Mechanical Engineering. Jonas also completed a Leadership program at ABB Business Academy. In addition, they pursued courses in International Production at Chalmers University of Technology, Business Management at the Institute for Business Management, and Economics at Växjö University.
