Alexander Weig is a Scientist at NJ Bio, Inc. since December 2022, with previous experience as a Graduate Research Student at the University of Notre Dame from June 2018 to December 2022. At Notre Dame, Alexander focused on organic chemistry research in the Melander Lab, specifically targeting multi-drug-resistant bacterial infections, and was awarded the Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Biology Interface Fellowship from 2020 to 2022. Prior to this role, Alexander was a Graduate Research Student at North Carolina State University for a year, where research in organic chemistry also targeted similar bacterial infections. Alexander earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Notre Dame, following a Bachelor's degree from Colgate University between 2013 and 2017.
