Maria Fairbank

Senior Clinical Research Scientist at Syner-G BioPharma Group

Maria Fairbank's work experience begins in 2000, where they worked as a Customer Service Representative for RBC. From 2000 to 2003, they served as a Research Assistant at The Center for Modeling Human Disease, conducting and designing behavioral experiments and collaborating with other researchers.

In 2015, Maria was a Research Specialist at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where they conducted a research project on the effect of drugs on Akt signaling and autophagy in BAK melanoma cells and melanoma tumor sections. Maria also analyzed laboratory findings and served as an instructor and mentor in Biochemistry MSc.

From 2015 to 2016, Maria worked as a One-on-One Science Tutor at Tutor Troops, where they regularly met with students and developed lesson plans and additional homework to reinforce concepts.

Additionally, Maria worked as an Independent Contractor (remote) at Technical Resources International, Inc. during this time. Their responsibilities included writing and editing scientific and regulatory documents for oncology clinical trials.

In 2022, Maria joined Impact Pharmaceutical Services as a Senior Clinical Research Scientist, where they managed clinical research studies. Maria held this role until April 2023.

Currently, Maria is a Senior Clinical Research Scientist at Syner-G BioPharma Group, a position they have held since April 2023. No end date is provided for this role.

Maria Fairbank has a strong educational background in the field of science. Maria obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cell and Developmental Biology from The University of British Columbia from 2006 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology at Western University from 2003 to 2006. Maria also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Toxicology from the University of Toronto, which they earned from 1999 to 2003.
