Luanga Nchari, PhD, serves as a Senior Scientist Processing at NIZO since February 2019, focusing on consultancy and research for the food and health industry. Previously, Luanga held roles including Process Development Specialist at Jacob Douwe Egberts and Process Development Engineer at Mondelēz International, contributing to new product development and commercialization. Early in the career, Luanga was a Research Engineer at the University of Manchester, working on corrosion solutions in the petroleum sector, and gained experience as a teacher, research engineer in particle engineering, and chemical engineer intern. Educational credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science from The University of Manchester, an MSc in Chemical Engineering from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, and additional qualifications in Resources Engineering, German, and Integrated Rural Development.
