Reyn Kapp is a mechanical engineer with a strong background in powertrain design and development of high-mobility military vehicles. Currently serving as Team Lead - Powertrain Design at NIMR since January 2022, Reyn has previously held positions as a Senior Design Engineer and Design Engineer at ADG Mobility (Pty) Ltd from February 2018 to December 2021. With experience in all engineering phases, Reyn extensively utilizes CAD software such as NX12 + Teamcenter and Onshape to create revision-managed BOMs and detailed manufacturing drawings. Additional experience includes roles as Junior Design Engineer at International Marathon United Technology (IMUT) and Teaching Assistant at the University of Pretoria. Reyn holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) with Honours from the University of Pretoria, as well as a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Mechanical Engineering. Education was completed at Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool, culminating in a National Senior Certificate in 2010.
