Mark Nakamura is a highly experienced professional in data science and analytics, currently serving as Vice President for Macro and Competitive Intelligence Insights and Global Consumer Data Science at Nike since June 2014. Mark's work focuses on merging science and technology to enhance the connection between Nike and consumers through AI and machine learning applications across various business functions. Prior roles at Nike include Senior Director positions in Digital Commerce Analytics and Digital Product Sciences, as well as foundational roles in Nike's Global Consumer Knowledge Data Science team. Mark's prior experience includes academic roles as a lecturer at UCLA and research positions at JPL and UC San Diego, holding a Ph.D. in Statistics and dual bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Economics, and Psychology from UC San Diego.
